Hi everyone, what a stressful few weeks/months this has been for a lot of us, from bush fires to a pandemic! My fiancé (Sam ) and I had to postpone our April wedding, which honestly wasn’t too hard of decision to make when we thought about our loved ones we would put at risk if we didn’t. Sam and I have been together for over 6years and I know I will marry this wonderful man with our nearest and dearest soon enough (and it will a great! ). 🥰 💟While the world is currently being turned upside, we must try to do our best to stay healthy – both physically and mentally. 💟A lot of you have started working from home and I’d thought I’d share with you some tips to stay healthy during this time. 🥬🍒🍆🌶🍋🍒🥑🥦🥕 1. Include probiotic rich foods like kimchi, keffir, yoghurt & miso regularly. Having good gut health (microbiome ) has a crucial role in regulating stress-related changes! 2. Include foods high in vitamins and minerals – trying to “eat a rainbow”. So including plenty of fruit & vegetables daily, remember that each colour represents a vitamin/mineral. Boring advice to some but this is so so important during this time! 3. Drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated. A tip to check your hydration - check the colour of your urine throughout the day, if it is a dark yellow colour then you know you’re not getting enough fluids! 4. Manage your stress levels through meditation/yoga/going out for a walk. Avoid sitting at your desk for long periods, try setting an alarm on your phone hourly to remind you to get up and do a little stretch or walk around your house./backyard. 5. Exercise – dedicate some time everyday to move! There are many online exercise routines available. OR try learning a TikTok dance routine – trust me on this one, it will get your heart rate pumping and make you laugh😂😂 6. WASH YOUR HANDS regularly. Wash your hands when you get home from the grocery store or any other essential outing and avoid touching your face. The look on your face when you wish you had a home gym. • A lot of people are really missing the gym right now. I get it. • While working out at home with minimal equipment(or nothing at all ) definitely isn’t the same, you can still make the effort to maintain your fitness and make it work. • Work with different tempos and rep ranges, up the frequency, get creative, work on mobility, get more active outside of traditional exercise, etc... The majority of gym goers have been FORCED to switch things up.. Not a bad thing. Just different. • That being said, maybe it’s time to change your focus. Maybe you needed a change and you can focus on other things. • Maybe getting all Shreddy Krueger suddenly isn’t that important. There’s more to life than getting peeled. Having a 6 pack won’t make you a happier human. You can be diced up and still be unhappy(isn’t that somethin ). This is a great time for some people to re-evaluate their relationship with exercise/training.. If you WERE so wrapped up in your training that it took precedence over everything else, you should really use this time to look at the bigger picture. • Not saying that you should just be a potato for the next few months(or however long this lasts ), just saying it’s ok to shift your priorities.. You SHOULD still get your fitness on, just in a different(possibly less consuming ) way. There’s no reason to come out of this in WORSE shape. • For some of you reading this, this is THE perfect time to start improving your nutrition and start working out. I mean, excuses are most likely out the window.. So, take the next step to improve your health NOW. • #AntiDadBodCoalition

literally been living in PJs, sweatpants and sweaters for the past 2 weeks 😆 10/10 would recommend 🙌🏼 definitely not taking this for granted because not everyone gets this opportunity to stay home. i’ve been cooking, baking and cleaning a lot more. trying to make use of my days & of course, it starts with some breakfast!! 🥑🥚 made this stuffed veggie egg omelette w/ sautéed tomato avocado toast for breakfast! to make, beat together 3 @vitalfarms eggs with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika in a small bowl. coat preheated pan with @primalkitchenfoods avocado oil and pour egg mixture into pan, allow to cook for about 1-2 minutes until mixture sets. place veggie filling on one side of the omelet. fold omelet in half and cook for another 1 minute before removing from pan! served with mashed avocado toast with sautéed grape tomatoes on top. sprinkle red pepper flakes, @traderjoes everything but the bagel sesame seasoning and @sietefoods hot sauce over everything! #winniesbalance

Ma tête quand on me demande : Tu n’as pas peur de grossir pendant le confinement ? Tu vas te couper les cheveux tout seul si le confinement dure 3 mois ? Tu as pas peur de ruiner tes efforts ces prochaines semaines ? La seule crainte que j’ai, c’est de perdre quelqu’un que j’aime et de claquer d’une 💩 de virus à 30 piges avant d’avoir réaliser tous mes souhaits. Si je dois ressembler à Georges Delajungle dans 3 mois, ainsi soit-il si, à la sortie, mes proches vont bien et que je ressors grandis de cette expérience merdique MAIS enrichissante. Ça devrait être le cas pour tout le monde. En 2020, malgré les horreurs que l’on entend, le nombre de morts, la souffrance, ce qui revient le plus souvent ici c’est « à quoi vont ressembler mes sourcils, mes cheveux et mon trou du c.. » ! En 2020, on nous donne des conseils sur « comment ne pas se laisser aller », mais as-t’on eu des conseils santé, immunité ? Non, 2020, c’est attention à vos cheveux et à vos poignée d’amour Mesdames (et Messieurs ) ! Ça me rend dingue ! Nous n’avons qu’un corps, ne le lâchons pas. Nourrissons le de la meilleure des façons, bougeons un minimum pour rester en santé (la priorité non ? ) mais ne nous infligeons pas des horreurs pour « ne pas ressembler à » ou encore « limiter la casse » ou car « les femmes n’ont pas le droit de se relâcher ». Relâchons la pression et revenons à l’essentiel. Vous avez le droit d’être confinée sans maquillage, en pyjama et avec des poils sur la 🐈 ! Ça ne regarde que vous ! Faites toujours les choses pour vous, c’est l’essentiel ! C’est quoi 3kg de plus et des sourcils broussailleux tant qu’on est en vie ?! Bisous. T O R T A D E B A N A N O 🍌 Se que por estos días esta ha sido la receta estrella sin embargo les comparto la que preparé que es sencilla, básica e ideal para combinar con mantequilla de mani, mermelada, yogurt, etc. En mi casa les gusta así sin tanta cosa🙈 Ingredientes: 🍚1 + 1/2 taza de harina de avena 🍳2 huevos 🍌2 bananos maduros ☕️1 cda de esencia de vainilla 🥥1/4 de taza de aceite de coco 🥛1/3 de taza de leche de almendras 🥄1cda de polvo para hornear 🍯1 cda de miel de abeja (si quieren más dulce pueden agregarle + ) Preparación: 1. Agregamos todos los ingredientes secos en un bowl y mezclamos. 2. Machacamos los bananos, agregamos todos los líquidos y mezclamos. 3. En una licuadora mezclamos ambos bowls (secos-líquidos ) porque aquí les gusta textura homogénea es decir sin que se sienta nada. 4. Lo cocinamos en el horno por 40 mins a 180 y listo. Todos funcionan diferente y a todos nos gustan texturas distintas. Esten pendientes de como va cada 15 mins! A mi me gusta que quede esponjosa. BARRAS CASEIRAS nesta #quarentena 👇 Pois é, desde que me fui interessando mais pela cozinha (sim, antes achava uma grande seca ), que tenho tentado fazer receitas mais saudáveis e que todos gostemos cá em casa ✌ Sempre levei os meus lanches para o trabalho, e agora em teletrabalho, os lanches também são necessários! Experimentei fazer umas barras de cacau para termos cá em casa e ficaram aprovadas 👌 Fáceis de fazer, claro! Estando todos mais por casa (apesar de termos de trabalhar ), acho que pode ser uma oportunidade para várias coisas... uma delas, é para melhorar a nossa alimentação! Desafiarmo-nos a fazer mais receitas, a implementar hábitos que antes não existiam... o que me dizem?! Se gostam de barras de cereais, porque não optar por fazer? 🤔 Deixo-vos a receita para que possam experimentar: - 100g de cajus - 20g de arroz puff - 15g de farinha de linhaça - 20g de cacau em pó - 2 colheres de sopa de mel - Juntar tudo num processador de alimentos (podem triturar grosseiramente os cajus ) até envolver bem. Colocar numa forma quadrada para ir ao forno e ir cerca de 20 minutos a 180⁰C. E amanhã já sabem, às 11h00 temos um direto em que vou fazer receitas de snacks ✌ Espero por vocês!
