⚪Book Talk⚪ Genre : crime thriller "𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒔; 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒎𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒙." 8 strangers invited to a lonely island off the shore of England by a letter. A host who never appears but instead greets them with a tape. The mysterious tape accuses them of commiting a murder .They all go to bed full of guilt when they find a note with the poem " eight little indians". As the story continues the members die according to the death of the Indians in the poem. They can't escape .They can't trust anyone. At the end you find 8 bodies and a forlorn mansion and no murderer. A mystery whose end is staggering to many but which I found a little hard to believe. ⚪My experience⚪ They mystery surrounding these series of murder is captivating. Crime thriller isn't my favourite & the fact I finished is reason enough to believe how engaging this is. Also very few pages so it's not a big commitment. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #lecturasnocturnas #lecturas2020 #untronooscuro #trescoronasoscuras #KendareBlake @oceanotravesia_es

THIS BOOK IS LOVE!!!This book held a good story line, which was very much based on city life in Seoul with a large fantasy twist to it. The characters, the relationship, and the action hooked me. It was a very nice read which I would recommend highly to people who enjoy books set in modern life and fantasy, in addition to Korean culture. The thing that got my attention the most was the fact that it is based on korean mythology and I love reading about korean mythology.💕💕💕 . . . . . . . . . . #bookstagram #books #booklover #book #bookworm #bookstagrammer #reading #bookish #booknerd #bookaddict #bibliophile #instabook #booksofinstagram #bookaholic #readersofinstagram #read #bookphotography #b #booksbooksbooks #bookshelf #booklove #instabooks #love #bookblogger #bookcommunity #igreads #bookreview #booklovers #reader #bhfyp

"I'm a beautiful sensitive and lusty vampire" Quoth the raven, nevermore! DNF. Part of the spooktober challenge promoted by the amazing @marinabooksofmagic And @my_vampyre_diary Please go check out their content you'll love 'em. Now, before you ask no, I ain't into the whole "romantic/seductive vampire thing, I do love 'em suckers (see what I did there ) but I see them as Guillermo Del Toro did Blade, like this unstoppable monsters who feed on human blood out of a necessity to gain strength and power beyond any other feeble human, more than lust and yeah there's a sexual component to the whole drinking blood thing but it's more... Violent, aggressive, born out of hatred more than love, but we can talk psycopathy and vampires some other time. Anyway, back in the day when I used to be a reckless metalhead good for nothing bastard I tried to hook up with a girl who was and may still be obessed with vampires due to the whole "twilight" revival/romanticized view of the Vampyr. Thus I got myself a copy of the first book on the vampire diaries series and guess what, couldn't even finish it, got to page 50 and couldn't take it anymore, no I said nevermore, instead I read the Batman & Dracula trilogy and made conversation with the girl 'bout that, but she wasn't interested in that, lost contact over the months and well, it wasn't meant to be. Anyway, don't do that ever, don't try to impress a girl/guy by buying what you could spend on a well written book about vampires like Dracula o Interview With The Vampire. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #bookstagram #bookstack #bookstagrammer #bookish #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookworm #bookishfeatures #darkaesthetic #bookrecommendation #bibliophile #igreads #booklover #bookstagramfeature #booksofinstagram #darkacademiaaesthetic #booknerd #vampires #booklove #bookphotography #bookwrapup #bookclub #rusticpages #darkacademia #thevampirediaries #bookrecommendations #classics #ljsmith #ilovereading #spooktoberchallenge2020

•Book- Murder Before Carnival •Author- Sameer Kumar •Kindle Price- 49 Rps 🙃The best thing about murder mysteries are First, we are eager to know who was murdered? Second, who murdered? 🤨And here these two questions were maintaining a hype very well. 😮A corpse was found inside an idol during the celebration of Durga Puja. Whose dead body it was and what were the intentions of the murderer was a big question? Was it love or respect or merely hatred but the idea of preserving a dead body inside Durga idol is dreadful. 😬Some crime stories becomes so famous that it affects the whole country or state and this story was among them, it hit West Bengal really hard 😮Read how a dead body inside Durga Ma’s idol makes an issue for religious affairs then political and obviously it was a big responsibility on the shoulders of Police...Wait…Wait…Do you think this time Politician and Police will corrupt the story and blame an innocent to shut state’s people mouth or they will work really hard to find the criminal? 💭My thoughts….. 😯Once I started reading it was hard for me to leave this book and run errands. 😯The contribution of Aahana, an independent psychologist was very interesting but I thought why there was a need to know her personal story too but at the end I finally got my answer and this parallelism of story was a must to know here 😯At times I was guessing who the murderer was and it turned out to be someone else and that surprised me 😯A table of character’s name with their role was helpful to refer 🥳Hit/Flop- My Verdict- A Big Hit Use #soulcalmer #westbengal #durgapuja #durgamaa #pradeep #parimal #ahana #psychology #crimescene #crimefiction #crimefictionaddict #murdermystery #suspense #booknerd #fiction #carnival #festiveseason #readersofinstagram #bookstagram #bookrecommendations #bookcommunity #igreads #kolkata #newread #readallday #foodkhana #mysecretbookshelf #bookshelf #john #businessman

Like most people on bookstagram, I initially added The Undocumented Americans to my wishlist because of @lupita .reads,  @idleutopia_reads and  @booksteahenny 's undying love for it. I was holding out for a paperback copy, but then  @thestackspod announced it as the September book club pick, where Traci would be discussing it with Lupita so I went ahead and downloaded the audiobook from  @librofm instead! This was an excellent decision, as it's narrated by the author, Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, and I love hearing authors narrate their own work. There's a surprising amount of humour in this book, and hearing Villavicencio deliver that deadpan wit was perfect. . The Undocumented Americans is mix of personal memoir and the stories of other undocumented Americans across America. We travel with Villavicencio to New York, Miami, Connecticut, and Flint, where she unearths stories that mainstream media doesn't care for. She talks to the day labourers, those who cleaned up at Ground Zero after 9/11, which later resulted in illnesses because of the exposure to hazardous materials. She visits Flint where lead in the water poisoned Latinx residents who were unaware of the crisis because the US government did not provide information in Spanish. These are all people who make up the fabric of US society, doing back-breaking labour to provide for their families, and yet America refuses to welcome them. . I loved how Villavicencio talked about her translations of these stories at the beginning. So often in the media, journalists resort to crude, word-by-word translations which result in a stilted English. Instead, she takes the approach of a literary translator for a poem. She captures the heart of what they're saying, rather than transliterating with clumsy results that reflect badly on the speaker. The people Villavicencio talks to are more than just subjects: they become like family to her. . If you're looking for a book about immigration in America then this is it. I loved the conversation between Lupita and Traci at The Stacks too, so do check it out along with Villavicencio's episode as well! . #abreadsandreviews2020 . Image description in first comment!

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." - L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables • QOTD : What's your favourite month and why? ☺️// What's the prettiest book you added to your collection this year? • Am I getting over these gorgeous editions anytime soon, you ask? Probably not. 🌚 Also, I love Octobers because they're full of birthdays including mine! We have a few family birthday traditions, so I get to meet up with my cousins several times in October and it's all super fun. Sadly, the pandemic has forced us to do things differently this time around, and I miss them. Hopefully, things don't remain this way for too long. Anyway, tell me about your favourite months and some pretty books you got this year in the comments! 💕 • I hope you're all having a great week so far. (Go to profile to see Full Banner ) Banner made by me only using the original cover and I edit the rest. Title: Happily Letter After Authors: Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward Publisher: Montlake Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Release Date: October 20, 2020   BLURB   From New York Times bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward comes a love story about taking chances and the surprises that come with them.   My love story all started with a letter.   Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for.   You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months.   So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far.   While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father. Her devastatingly handsome, single dad father.   I should have stopped playing fairy godmother then. I should have left well enough alone. But I just couldn’t help myself. I had a connection to this girl. One that had me acting irrationally.   Like when I showed up on their doorstep. #bookworm #epicreads #igreads #instareads #readingissexy #avidreader #booknerd #bookishaf #readersofinstagram #ilovesbooks #readingtime #booksttbooksbooks #readinglife #bookstagram   #bookstagrammer   #books   #reading   #bibliophile   #booklover #book   #bookdragon   #shelfie   #goodreads   #bookreview   #bookblogger   #beautiful #instagood #picoftheday #photooftheday

The Black Flamingo Rating: 10/10 I adored this books exploration of every conceivable thought a teenager could go through: from relationships to identity. I really enjoy books involving the LGBT community because they don’t often resort to stereotypes to create the story. Rather, they are based on bold experiences. This novel/poetry book follows Michael as he learns to define himself as both Michael and the black flamingo, standing out from the crowd in the best way possible. If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves-and the world-for the better. .. .. #library #bookblogger #writer #livros #quotes #igreads #bookcommunity #bookreview #novel #writing #bookstore #libro #readingtime #poetry #bookclub #goodreads #writersofinstagram #romance #literatura #fantasy #instagood #instagram #bookobsessed #fiction #leggere #photography #life #a #childrensbooks

Edicole speciali e dove trovarle.

Everyday, every second we have to fight to achieve our dreams. The constant effort, dedication, hardwork which one give for chasing his/her dreams aint really a matter of joke. But few peoples dont really take a second before harassing and discouraging those 'chaser'. And if you ask me that what discouragement is, then I must say its nothing but a type of cruel outburst out of jealousy and fury. There's so many people who are envious of our growth and success and also there's few people who genuinely support us. Accepting public opinion is really vital for improvement in our work. Critics opinion is needed for our growth. But that isn't equivalent to discouragement. For instance, whenever I fail to solve any mathematics problem or end up doing it wrongly, my tutor shows me the way to rectify my process of solving the sum instead of discouraging me. My mother appreciate my hardwork and at the same time she shows me where I have to improve myself and whats the way of doing so. I dont call it discouragement. Its apparently what genuine support is. No one out there is perfect in his or her work. There's room for improvement in my work, your work, and the others. But does that mean we deserve discouragement in return of our hardwork and efforts? Your cruel words can snatch away the happiness and the willing power to acheive someone's dream. Stay strong. Stay motivated.🙂 #quotestagram #writingcommunity #writerscommunity #writerspost #quotes #igpoetry #igwriters #igpoets #igreads #igers #igdaily #writersstory #writerswritup #writersofig #writerspage #discouragement #power #strong #cruelwordshurt #motivation #motivationalquotes #motivationmonday #strongereveryday

We've been loving seeing all the reviews and photos from everyone on WHITE TEARS/BROWN SCARS, especially Tyrinne's at @booked__and_busy ‘seloquent post. Take a read below for a sample of her thoughts and check out her page to read the full review! Have you picked up @rubyhamadwriter 's incredible book just yet? What has stuck with you so far?⠀ ⠀ #Repost ・・・・・・・・・・・・・ 💥REVIEW💥⠀ ⠀ “...women of color have to not only battle white patriarchy and that of their own culture, but must also contend with colonialism, neocolonialism, imperialism, and other forms of racism. Given white women have never had to deal with racial and colonial oppression, it is not surprising—though it is certainly regrettable—that so many of them still regard feminism as a movement purely concerned with gender, leaving racialized women to keep trying to draw their attention to the ways in which various oppressions affect our lives. Until white women reckon with this, mainstream Western feminism cannot be anything more than another iteration of white supremacy.”⠀ ⠀ White Tears/Brown Scars is a history and criticism of white feminism and how it has been weaponized against BIPOC women on an international level. Hamad demonstrates how white women have been active participants in the oppression of women of color for centuries and how it continues today. She explains that white women continue to benefit from being positioned as “damsels in distress” and wield this power when it’s to their advantage. This “innocence” perpetuates the harmful stereotypes ingrained in our society about BIPOC women, “essentially gaslighting them into submission”. White supremacy and patriarchy have socialized white women to not seek equality beyond gender. These actions result in them gaining power within these repressive systems instead of dismantling them. Hamad argues when discussing true equity we cannot separate gender from race, class, or feminism and I completely agree. All forms of discrimination must be acknowledged or else marginalized women will continue to be silenced and erased. I cannot remove parts of who I am and I shouldn’t be expected to, especially in order to appease white women.

Hey everybody! This is another invitation to pre-order my upcoming memoir, Alone in Wonderland. I hope you’re enjoying the daily reminders! ❤️ I’ve been working on this book for just over two years now and as I prepare to cross the finish line, I want you all there with me. And unfortunately a live book launch party is looking unlikely. But I’ve got some ideas in the works. 😉 Alone in Wonderland is a story about backpacking— but it’s also a story about trauma and overcoming. Many people find themselves attempting a long hike in the wake of some personal difficulty. Something about being out in the woods “alone” takes the complications out of life. When your only job is to walk and eat, suddenly you have the time and clarity to ask the big questions of yourself. And really listen. Not to the fake cherry canned answers you’ve got stored up for a hard day. But to the real truth of who you are. Order your copy of Alone in Wonderland for the full story. — Today I’ll talk about the book "I’m thinking of ending things" by the author Iain Reid ( @tidydissolve ), published by @editorarocco here in Brazil! @netflix released a film based on this book, the film was written and directed by Charlie Kaufman. 🤎🎬 QOTD: Have you read this book or/and watched the film? — The point of view is from a young woman who has many doubts about her relationship with her boyfriend but nevertheless takes a road trip with him to meet his parents at their farmhouse. I don't want to say too much about this book because it would be super easy to spoil. The puzzle and atmosphere are the ghoulish, psychological and interesting part of it. It's a deeply unsettling novel, a mystery and psychological horror. Iain Reid explores the depths of the human psyche, questioning consciousness, free will, the value of relationships, fear, and the limitations of solitude. This is the type of book that goes 100% of your perception as a reader. It definitely won't be for everyone, but I loved it. Just like the tagline says, "You will be scared, but you won't know why...".
