🥐LET’S TALK “CHEAT DAYS”🥐 (sorry about the long caption incoming whoops ) Have you ever eaten clean for a whole 6 days and then fallen off and consumed a million calories on the 7th, so just write it off as a cheat day? 🍟🧁🍫 I’m one of those people who eats well all day and then consume all my calories in like an hour at night 😭😭 But I’ve learnt to be so okay with that and stop labelling my days or meals as “cheats” - convincing yourself that having a piece of cake or some chocolate is cheating is inherently wrong, and as with everything - eating these in moderation can in fact contribute to your health and diet! Here’s why you should get rid of the cheat days/meals concept: 1. Mindful, intuitive eating - this is the concept of eating what you want when you want it, which helps curb cravings and prevents you from binge eating. Cheat days do the opposite and encourage you to consume larger amounts of junk food at once ❌ 2. Calorie intake - cutting during the week and consuming less food or less calories means your body adapts to the fewer calories, thus burns less calories overall. When you give it a cheat meal and consume all those calories at once, your body’s going to hold on to the calories and you’ll put on more weight than if you just ate in moderation 🍪 3. Mentality - “cheat days” imply that enjoying food is a bad thing and can encourage eating disorders. Hallo ihr Lieben 🥰 Unser heutiges Abendessen 🥘 Ofenkartoffel mit Hähnchen Kassler dazu ein frischer Salat 🥬 aus dem Garten Das war lecker 😋 Die Kartoffeln hab ich allerdings in der Mikrowelle gemacht 🙈 geht einfach schneller 👍 so war das Essen in einer halben Stunde fertig!! REZEPT ⬇️ Für 2 Personen 2 Backkartoffeln (à ca. 350 g ) Salz 2 Stück Hähnchen Kassler 2 Lauchzwiebeln 1 EL Öl 1 TL Senf 150 g Frischkäse mit Kräutern 75–100 ml Gemüsebrühe Pfeffer Mikrowelle : Kartoffeln mit einer Gabel runterkommen einstechen und für ca. 20 Minuten garen. In der Zeit einmal wenden! Backofen Kartoffeln in kochendem Wasser ca. 20 Minuten vorgaren. Kartoffeln abgießen und vorsichtig nebeneinander auf ein mit Backpapier ausgelegtes Backblech legen, mit Salz bestreuen und im vorgeheizten Backofen (E-Herd: 200 °C/ Umluft: 175 °C/ Gas: s. Hersteller ) ca. 30 Minuten backen. Kasseler in Würfel schneiden. Lauchzwiebeln waschen, putzen und den weißen und grünen Teil in Ringe schneiden. Öl in einer Pfanne erhitzen. Kasselerwürfel und die weißen Lauchzwiebelringe in die Pfanne geben und kurz anbraten . Senf und Frischkäse einrühren und mit Brühe ablöschen. Mit Salz und Pfeffer würzen Hälfte der grünen Lauchzwiebelringe zum Kasseler geben. Kartoffeln längs einschneiden. Kasseler und Soße auf die Kartoffeln verteilen und mit übrigen Lauchzwiebelringen bestreuen. Tonight I made a Yemenite dish, Marak Tamani ☺️ one of the longest prep time I think I’ve ever done but omg wow it taste incredible! I began by marinading the beef for a couple of hours and then placed it in a Dutch oven for a couple of minutes and then added some onions to sauté. I then made three deep incisions in the tomatoes added that to the pot and added broth. After cooking for 2.5 hours. Minty Summer Salad 🥗 Follow➡️ @homerecipes101 Facebook➡️ homerecipes101 - - - INGREDIENTS: 1 Romaine lettuce (medium size ) 1/2 Cup tomatoes 1/2 Cup red peppers 1/2 Cup green peppers 1/2 Cup cucumbers 1/4 Cup onions Dressing: 1/2 Cup fresh mint, finely chopped 2-3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 1/4 Cup olive oil Sea salt and pepper INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Chop the lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, red and green peppers and place them in a medium bowl. 2. Prepare the dressing, chop the mint finely and put it in a small bowl, add the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper and mix well. 3. Made a bowl of chia seed yogurt pudding for breakfast and it’s my new fav🥄😇🌟 I’m sure you all know that yogurt bowls are my go to summer breakfast! They’re so refreshing in this summer heat and easily customizable! To make this into more of a thick pudding, I simply added 1 tbsp of chia seeds to a 5.3 oz container of @siggisdairy vanilla yogurt and let it sit overnight! This will basically create a thick and creamy chia seed pudding😋 I topped mine in the morning with banana slices, raspberries, grain free granola, cacao nibs, and almond butter! You guys know I’m big on toppings and will ALWAYS load up my bowls🥰 #dailysiggis

Be kind to yourself: eat things that make you feel good, drink your water, move your body in a way that makes you feel powerful, and appreciate all the little things in your life 💕 Oatmeal dEATS: 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk, 2 tbs of sugar free maple syrup, a dash of cinnamon, & 1/2 tsp vanilla (or 1 scoop of protein powder ). Soak overnight! I heat mine up in the morning but you don’t have to! Then add ALLL the toppings until you can’t even see the oatmeal (it’s there I promise ) 😂 Happy Wednesday!

Still dreaming about these #oreobrownies I whipped up yesterday. I did use a @bettycrocker double choc mix so kindaa cheating 😂... but they tasted amazing nevertheless! 🇮🇹Se mi seguite da un po’ saprete che mi piacciono tanti piatti molto diversi. Ma un buon piatto di pasta resta sempre in cima alla mia classifica! Questa è una pasta che ho improvvisato oggi a pranzo in pochi minuti, con pochi ingredienti e mi è piaciuta molto. Mentre la pasta cuoceva (oggi ho usato quella di grano saraceno ), in una padella ho fatto scaldare un filo d’olio con uno spicchio di aglio. Ho aggiunto dei pomodorini tagliati a metà, dei cuori di carciofo tagliati sottili, sale e timo q.b. e ho fatto cuocere. Una volta cotta la pasta, l’ho unita a questo condimento, ho aggiunto un filo di olio EVO et voilà!! So, while pasta was cooking, I sautéed in a pan a garlic clove with a little olive oil. I added some halved cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts thinly sliced, salt and thyme to taste and cooked. When pasta was cooked I added it to the artichokes and tomatoes, I added a little extravirgin olive oil and stirred. Et voila!
