been a while since I’ve posted a #transformationtuesday !! On the left: 3 years ago. 115lbs (at this point I had been lifting for a few months ) - On the right: few weeks ago. 130lbs. (Body composition changed, gained fat AND muscle ) - This may seem like it took a long time, but it really didn’t! Time flies by, and I’ve also gained weight since last year when I was 120ish lbs. I was in a plateau for a while, slowly putting on lean mass, until I finally started eating more and my progress sky-rocketed🚀 - Take away messages: be patient, be consistent, and remember your diet matters!!
GUESS WHAT GUYS?! I’M BACK! 😍 For those of you that have followed me for a while (since 2013-14ish ), you know that I used to post something fitness-related pretty much every single day! Although I loved posting, motivating others, and developed so many friendships on here, life got in the way and I slowly faded away from social media. In 2016, I began nursing school, making it more difficult to post something every day. Although I was still in the gym, my time on social media dramatically decreased so I could be 100% focused on school. By 2018, I graduated, took my state boards exam, and received my Registered Nurse license. I have now been working as an ER nurse for 2 1/2 years and absolutely love it. I truly believe that has helped shape me into who I am today. I have recently been reminiscing on how much I used to love the engagement I had on social media. Fitness and helping others achieve their goals has always been a passion of mine. I am here to say that I am back and will be pushing to post a lot more from this point moving forward. When I’m in the gym I am in my element and feel my most authentic self. There’s something about lifting heavy and breaking the mould of a stereotypical girl that feels so badass to me. Gals, don’t be afraid to active your inner beast mode or fear getting ‘bulky’. Some of us (me lol ) are actually out here trying to get DENSE and let me tell you it’s really not that easy so you need to work hard and give it 110% everytime you step foot in the gym if you want to make ANY sort of changes. Your mind will quit way before your body will and what most people lack is having the guts to continue and just go through that pain. No pouting, hair flicks or trying 19 different booty angles from me I’m afraid... 🙄 🍑 It’s important to me & for me to be true to my values.. One of the values I have is “keep it real” .. I get filthy.. My training top stinks after a session.. I have skin falling off my hands .. ... There’s no point even applying any level of make up as that’s off within a few minutes too.. I have dirty fingernails when I’m finished... I sometimes fall, but I get back up.. I make mistakes, I try go back & correct them.. I don’t care about angles or how peachy my backside looks in the mirror when I’m training... Oh & half of my training pictures I am gurning 😂 Why? Because I train for me. I don’t train for the vast population.. I want to leave a legacy. Share my passions. Show the younger generation that there’s more to life than angles in a mirror or having the “perfect” butt shot.. I train to be the best I can be. I train until I cannot find another breath.. I push myself until I cannot go anymore at times. I can climb a 10ft wall no problem.. I can run. I can crawl. I probably carry someone 1.5x my Bodyweight if needed. I can submerge my body in water a few degrees above freezing & get out on top of a mountain at -10 degrees wind chill.. I can overcome obstacles in my life because I have trained my body to handle extreme scenarios therefore it has a huge reflection on my personal life. There’s nothing “pretty” about how I train but there’s something so incredibly real about it. Some may call it “crazy” , I call it RESILIENT.
