Making the most of 4 eggs and a banana. Mixed up in a short stack of pancakes or really omelettes. What differnciates the two? . . I'm in the 4th day of a practice amateur 10 day "peak week" cut. In the countdown to gyms reopening this is a severe and temporary, highly controlled, diet and hydration programme. I'm nearly done emptying the muscles of glycogen by limiting carbs and working out. Later this week I'll be refueling them, carb loading and not exercising so by Satirday 18th they appear as full as possible. Water will become limited in the last couple days to try and dry out the skin. I've never done this before, I'm recording everything and excited to see the results. I over estimated how lean I already was so could have done with harder dieting from 3 months ago but it's a learning process. Let's see how I do. . . . #diet #bodybuilding #peakweek #cut

Here’s a few tips that help me stay motivated: • Put on a nice gym outfit that you feel good in! 💁🏽‍♀️ • Listen to your fave playlist on your phone whilst getting ready, (mine will always have Sean Paul🤣 ) • Have a coffee☕️ (if it’s a morning workout ) if not have a pre workout @womensbest is my go to! 🙌🏽 •Think about why you want to train that day! Whether it helps you to de stress, focus on targeting muscles you want to grow or overall fitness! Think of the progress you will make by doing that one workout each time 🏋🏽‍♂️ • Put YOU first! It’s YOUR body and the change and progress will only come from YOU💪🏽 • Plan your workout!📝Whether you write down afew exercises and sets to do that day or you following someone’s workout video make sure you have something there ready for you to work with so you don’t loose focus on what your doing!

This was taken 2 years ago. I went from lifting 4 times per week to lifting 6 days and doing cardio 7 days a week to prep for my first show. Since then, I’ve learned a lot, and have put on a good amount of muscles in my off season. I’m excited to see how I’ll look like this year. This is an extreme sport, so it will ask a lot out of your time and energy. Most importantly, everyone’s diet and workout regimen will be different. Just because I lifted 6 days a week does not mean that that’s what you need to do. - 📸 @jramx5

5 Lessons I’ve learned from bodybuilding⬇️ . -It’s going to be relentlessly hard some days, as it should be. Nothing worth having will ever come easy. If it did, everyone would already have it. -The process will go slower than you want it to. Building muscle takes lots of time. Trust the process and stay consistent. -You will be judged by others who don’t understand your lifestyle and that’s okay. Surround yourself with those who support you, encourage you, and only lift you up. -You will have days or periods of time where you will question yourself and your progress. You may feel like you’re not progressing or perhaps you may feel like you’re moving backwards, but you’re probably not. We are our own worst critics and have a tendency to see ourselves very hypercritically. -When you achieve your goal and when you see the progress unfold, it’s going to be indescribable. You’ll feel on top of the world and that feeling right there, is what will always keep you hungry for more. . Bodybuilding is more than just a sport. It’s a lifestyle and it’s something that transpires and impacts your whole well being.
